Phillip Caruso

Phillip graduated from Touro College of Health Sciences in Bay Shore, NY with a Bachelor of Health Science, Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008. It was a knee injury and being exposed to Physical Therapy during his post-surgical rehabilitation that inspired Phillip to learn more. He places great importance on working with Physical Therapists who are skilled hands on specialists. In addition to his studies at Touro College, Phillip volunteered at Southside Hospital in the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit and assisted the Brentwood South Middle School Girls Lacrosse Team.

Phil has been employed with Panetta Physical Therapy since 2009 and has practiced in each of our three clinics, currently working at both the Roslyn and Ronkonkoma locations.  Phil has found that by working in each of our locations, he has been exposed to a wide variety of physical impairments and surgeries.  Phil’s clinical interests include utilizing video analysis, biofeedback, kinesiotaping, electrodiagnostics and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, which he feels has contributed tremendously to better patient outcomes and helps to make PT treatments more engaging.

-Certificate of Competency in Electrodiagnostics (NCV/EMG) and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound(MSKUS) imagine from Hands On Diagnostic Services(HODS)

-Certified Clinical Instructor to Physical Therapy Students from Stony Brook University and Touro College Since 2009

Phil lives in Elmont NY and enjoys mountain biking and cooking with friends and family in his free time.
